Artist Bio:

Famous When Dead, born in 1980, was raised in the industrial pottery city of Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. Showing an interest in art from a very early age, he adopted the alias of Famous When Dead in 2005. Although self-taught as an artist, he studied graphic design, illustration and animation up to university level. He continues to reside in Staffordshire, England, where he works full time as a CGI artist and creates artwork in his home studio space.

Artist Statement:

Famous When Dead, creator of strange and intriguing artworks, was born in the industrial, pottery city of Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, England. His artworks are heavily influenced by popular culture, street art, and graphic design. There are no obvious themes in his work, although the recurring subjects of identity and social anxieties are noticeable in recent works.
